To know Kim & Phil is to love Kim & Phil. That’s all anybody talked about the entire day and I absolutely couldn’t agree more. After having shot their engagement session in Boulder, Colorado a few months prior, reuniting with them on the wedding day was a sweet treat. The day was so full of joy and excitement, it was an honor to be able to capture and witness just a few moments of their love story.

This wedding day was the perfect example of a more traditional wedding that utilized a 5-hour wedding package well. Knowing that they were getting ready quite early in the morning, Kim wanted to have their coverage start later in the afternoon at the venue. We planned to get her dressed and ready first thing and then go right into the sweetest first looks with her father and brother, then a first look with Phil.

I often get asked if I prefer timelines with first looks. I fully believe it is completely dependent on the couple and what will feel most comfortable for them. Some couples want to spend as much of the day together as possible - I recommend a first look for them! For couples who value the traditional first glimpse to be at the ceremony, I believe there are ways to still build a flexible, generous timeline that makes your wedding day successful. It is more important to me that the experience of your wedding day is what you always hoped. Everything else, we align to those priorities you hold highest.

We were able to capture so much love, joy, and laughter in just 5 hours - from the tail end of getting ready to the beginning of the reception with all of the sweet speeches and dances. The story within this gallery is one of my all-time favorites and I’m so happy to share it with you here.
