I first met Sophie & Kolbin to shoot their engagement session one year before their wedding day. Their vision was set early on, they wanted to shoot in a beautiful naturally lit art museum in Downtown Denver - The Clyfford Still Museum. We instantly connected and I realized just how intentional and creative they were.
One year later, I flew from Florida to Colorado to capture their sweet, emotional, wildly fun wedding day. There was so much laughter and so many tears; I have truly never met a group of people so kind and welcoming and excited to celebrate two people’s love.
The morning of, my drive to the venue was gloomy and of course, I felt a bit nervous. I think it goes without saying that most brides do not wish for rain on their wedding day. But when I arrived, I found Sophie completely calm and collected as she received the finishing touches from her beauty team.
The incredible venue and planning team were diligently taking care of rain preparations and I was confident that no matter what happened, this day would unfold beautifully.
As the morning unfolded, Sophie and Kolbin read letters from one another, got ready, and spent time with their closest friends and family.
Villa Parker has the most beautiful bridal suite with skylights above, and as Sophie walked in to get into her wedding dress, sunshine peeked through. Just in time for portraits and the ceremony, the weather turned right around.
Sophie and Kolbin said “I do” in the beautiful courtyard of Villa Parker surrounded by close friend and family. The vows were sweet, the food was incredible, and then they danced all night long. Their first dance song was “Daydreamer” by Adele and I haven’t stopped listening to it since.
“Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being a part of our day and for pouring your soul into these photos.”
